The Senior Capstone Project

Students will complete a major research project during the school year. STUDENTS MUST COMPELTE ALL CAPSTONE ASSIGNMENTS IN MICROSOFT WORD, not to be confused with Word Perfect or other generic word processing programs. Our computers and printers DO NOT have these programs; therefore, students will have to re-do their assignments. It is our hope that we will have an online drop site for Capstone assignments, and we must recieve ONLY Word documents. The components of the Capstone include research with 6-8 viable sources, an annotated bibliography, research notes, an 8-10 page research paper with multiple drafts, and a student product. It is required that students get a folder to keep all the Capstone handouts and assignments together, but this will not be stored in class. Student will be required to keep these materials together on their own.

Activities for the 1st 9 weeks:

1. Parent & student signs the Capstone agreement, returns immediately to school.

2. Topic assignments and scavenger hunt completed, students recieve approval for project topics.

3. Letter of Intent completed by student. Student must print this and turn in.

4.
